The transparent purple/shiraz-syrah/dark gray appearance and fruity grape juice-like aroma remind me strikingly of a soda pop – Nehi Grape – from my childhood except that it has a well-concealed 15 percent alcohol as its foundation. Simple, straightforward, and very quaffable.
