The Wild Geese Irish Whiskey matures in used white oak bourbon casks. The Wild Geese Distillery itself is the oldest licensed distillery in the world and the last independent Irish owned distillery in Ireland. The whiskey comes from the Cooley Distillery and received 85.5/100 points in Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible 2019. The whiskey itself is smooth, sweet, with vanilla, malt and spices. A very light peat note can also be tasted. It is almost incomprehensible that Jim Murray rated the twice distilled single malt whiskey from Ireland.
