Temperance Trader Bourbon - 750ml

Patrick Bernards is distilling rum and whiskey at his new Bull Run distillery in NW Portland, Oregon. Until then, like many other producers, he's selling whiskey purchased from other distilleries. Sourcing casks both from Buffalo Trace and LDI, his high rye bourbon is warm and spicy, with herbal highlights and a grainy finish. It's another great value in what is becoming an expansive American independent market. It's less sweet than some of the Heaven Hill varieties, but more full-bodied than the younger LDI whiskies.
