The 2016 Reserve To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon today displays beautiful aromatics of red and dark plum, sweet tobacco, blackberry, and black currant that lead into flavors of black currant, dark plum, tea leaves, a touch of sweet tobacco, a savory earthy note, and subtle molasses at the end. The wine shows nice concentration and density on the palate. The tannins are mouthcoating with a little grip to them, while still fine and smooth. This will be a long-lived wine that will age incredibly well.
