A beautiful Heaven Hill-produced single barrel Bourbon, named after a Welsh migrant to Kentucky, said to be the state’s first distiller.
This whiskey was distilled in 2009 and aged for about nine years in new American oak casks. Evan Williams Single Barrel is made with a classic Bourbon mashbill of 78% Corn, 10% Rye, and 12% Malted Barley, resulting in a sweet, spicy and delicious dram.
A typical Bourbon profile, packed with notes of rich vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruits, red berries, apples, cloves, toffee, menthol, nuts, fresh herbs and bright oak. A lengthy, spicy finish is present.
Bottled at 43.3% ABV, this is a slight warmer, more intense experience than the average Kentucky Bourbon.
