Gaia 2020 Cabernet Franc - 750ml

The Domaine Bousquet 2020 Pinot Noir Rosé Gaia is a delightful wine. It boasts a dark salmon color, visually appealing in its clear bottle. Although it was whole cluster-pressed to enhance aromas, the wine maintains a subdued nose even after warming in the glass for 30 minutes. On the palate, you’ll find mild flavors with hints of red plum and strawberry. However, it’s a tad watery in concentration, and the overt tannic bitterness frames its somewhat awkward girth. Surprisingly, it’s only 13.1% ABV, but it feels higher. Overall, this rosé offers an interesting experience, even if it deviates slightly from the producer’s usual reliably good still and sparkling wines. Cheers! 🍷
